#HanyaKeranamu thanks unsung heroes

Malaysia, April 23, 2020 – foodpanda, the leading online delivery service in collaboration with Dentsu Aegis Network (DAN) has recently launched #HanyaKeranamu. A user generated content (UGC) led CSR campaign aims to bring Malaysians closer together.

Across the country, people expressed appreciation to frontliners who are fighting to curb the spread of Covid-19. Moments of humanity and gratitude are shining through the cracks of the pandemic. The set of food front liners such as the farmers, fishermen, supply chain providers, cooks and more are powering the food industry and keeping the nation fed during this unprecedented time often goes unnoticed.

The campaign garners the support of Malaysians to thank food frontliners across the nation via the hashtag #HanyaKeranamu. Malaysians can share their positive messages, words of encouragement and thank yous to the food frontliners via their Facebook, Twitter and Instagram posts. All messages gathered via the hashtag will be shared with the frontliners via dynamic digital billboards daily. While Malaysians practice social distancing, #HanyaKeranamu bridges the gap and helps establish the connection between customers and frontliners.

The #HanyaKeranamu campaign reaches out to food frontliners out there during this challenging time to thank them for their service to the nation to keep people healthy, safe and well fed. A 60sec digital video showing heartfelt thank you to the heroes of the nation for their selflessness, toiling in these trying times can be viewed on foodpanda’s youtube page. The television commercial is airing on Media Prima, Astro, RTM, News, Lifestyle, Video on-demand streaming platforms until the end April 2020.

“We wanted to shed light on the unsung heroes in the food industry; those working in the background to ensure Malaysians have food on their tables. And what better way to thank them than to provide a platform for all Malaysians to show their gratitude towards our food frontliners,” said Fabian Emanuel, Head of Marketing, foodpanda.

Emanuel added, “When customers place an order, they are not only putting a meal on their table, but on the tables of the farmers and fishermen, the lorry drivers that transport the fresh produce to the restaurants, the chefs who prepare the food and the riders that deliver those warm meals right to your doorstep.”

#HanyaKeranamu aims at uniting Malaysians together to spread a positive message to all food frontliners. During this challenging time, it is important that Malaysians work together and show their support to one another, to come out of this stronger than before. What better way to do so then to share their thank yous where frontliners can see it.
