foodpanda launches new Dine-in feature that customers can tap on to enjoy attractive offers in-store

SINGAPORE (20 August 2021) – foodpanda customers will have yet another reason to tap on the app more often with the delivery platform’s launch of the new Dine-in feature. The feature, which was rolled out on Tuesday, 17 August, allows customers to enjoy attractive discounts, including 1-for-1 dine-in offers, from over 300 restaurant partners who will be added progressively. While all customers will be able to see the offers on the app in the coming weeks, customers will need to be a pandapro member to unlock and enjoy these Dine-in offers.

The launch of Dine-in is part of the delivery platform’s expansion into online-to-offline commerce, which started with the availability of Pick-Up – where customers are able to place orders and conveniently pick them up from restaurants directly. With Dine-in, foodpanda aims to make it even easier for customers to conveniently meet their food and lifestyle needs – adding on to services such as restaurant delivery, pandamart, foodpanda shops, and pandago.

Customers can look forward to a range of attractive dine-in offers, such as 1-for-1 offers, and up to 30% off the full menu, at an extensive list of popular restaurants which includes The Landing Point and Gin Parlour at The Fullerton Bay Hotel, A-One Claypot House, PizzaExpress, Botanico at the Garage (Bee’s Knees), Holey Moley Golf Club, Red House Seafood, Crab, Gyu Nami, Quentin’s the Eurasian Restaurant, Peach Garden, and many more. To enjoy the offers, pandapro members will only need to click on “Dine-in” available on the foodpanda app homescreen, and click on the offer that they would like to enjoy. Once an offer is selected, customers will be required to scan a QR code at the restaurant for the offer to be verified and the discounts will be reflected upon payment.

The Dine-in feature is currently only available to pandapro members, adding to the existing list of price-slashing deals as part of the monthly subscription plan. Priced at just S$7.99 a month, the subscription includes: unlimited free delivery at selected restaurants, unlimited 20% off deals on selected restaurants, unlimited 5% additional discounts on Pick-Up, two 10% discount vouchers on pandamart every month and now access to the array of Dine-in offers where a subscriber can redeem three offers per restaurant per month. Customers can now also choose to subscribe for 6- and 12-month plans at S$6.99 and S$5.99 per month respectively with further savings.

Dine-in will be available to view for all users in Singapore in the coming weeks with more restaurants to be added. The feature is already available for foodpanda users in Hong Kong, with plans to make the feature available in other APAC countries where foodpanda operates as well.

Amirul Shah, Commercial Director, foodpanda Singapore, comments, “The availability of Dine-in complements all other services that we offer, as we strive to deliver the best experience for our customers. The launch of Dine-in also nicely coincides with the gradual easing of restrictions in Singapore, and we hope that this feature can also act as a booster for our restaurant partners to bring diners back.”
