Malaysia, 22 April, 2020 – foodpanda, the leading online delivery service, launches its contactless delivery option button. As the development of COVID-19 continues to evolve, foodpanda is ensuring it provides both service partners and customers the simplified option of minimised contact during the delivery process. With an increased demand for online delivery needs, foodpanda aims to serve its customers with enhanced delivery and payment options for the current environment.

The latest feature will allow both customers and service partners to opt for contactless delivery when placing an order and add on additional drop-off instructions via live chat if necessary. To adhere to their constant commitment to safety, foodpanda explained the mechanics of the new feature:

1. Make sure that customers have downloaded the latest version of the foodpanda app.
2. At checkout, contactless delivery will be switched on by default. Just place the order.
3. Go to the order and tap on ‘Contact your rider’.
4. Let the rider know exactly where to leave the order.

All foodpanda customers are encouraged to switch to online payment in order to minimise direct contact, however, riders know to step back 3 metres and let customers leave cash payment outside to collect.
