Bangkok, 2nd November 2016: foodpanda, Southeast Asia’s leading food delivery company and Grab, Southeast Asia’s leading ride-hailing company, today announced a partnership to provide quick and convenient food delivery to customers in Thailand. Officially launched in beta in Central Bangkok, GrabBike riders will deliver meals from foodpanda vendors in the central business district.
The two major players in their on-demand fields are combining their deep market understanding in Thailand to enter a strategic partnership targeted towards improving operational flexibility and expanding the respective services to reach even more customers in Thailand. The partnership will continue to reduce delivery times for foodpanda orders significantly, by combining foodpanda’s delivery fleet with Grab’s rider network of several thousand motorbikes.

foodpanda users continue to order their meals through the foodpanda app or website. With this partnership the combined delivery network of foodpanda and Grab will will be used, assigning the closest delivery rider from foodpanda or GrabBike to deliver meals to foodpanda customers.
The foodpanda delivery service by GrabBike will be extended to other areas in Bangkok soon.
